Tomato Love

It's been a big year for tomato stitching, and what a joy! To celebrate and say thank you for all the love and support for my Tomato, Tomahto pattern, I've got this extra little stitch to share.

The stitch dimensions are 41W x 41H. To keep it small, I stitched mine with one thread over two on 46 count Maple Bar by Cedar River Linen. I used 100/3 silks from my stash but, with only a few colors needed, please pull from your favorite tomato stitches and dress this one to match. There's a DMC conversion included if you need a jumping off point.

I will finish mine as a round ornament to commemorate the year and enjoy for many seasons to come. A little pillow finish or something soft for your stitching box would be very appropriate. No matter what size or finish you choose, this little guy will make a great addition to your tomato collection.
